Production vacancy | General Hand / Trainee Fettler
Department: Production
The General Hand will work in the Finishing Team, fettling parts to specification.
There may be a requirement for the succssful candidate to work in different areas of the Finishing Team, including stove assembly, packing, door assembly and spares.
Job Role:
- Produce fettled parts to specification and schedule; using a grinder to smooth off rough edges/surfaces of cut and welded metal parts.
- Manufacture doors to 'door assembly instructions', move to stores.
- Re-work returned goods and internal non-conforming parts as required.
- Any other reasonable task as directed by your Line Manager.
Required Skills:
- Ability to work to schedule.
- Good housekeeping and ability to follow procedures.
- Maintaining highest standards in Quality and Health and Safety.
Salary:
Starting on £21,538.40 per annum (equivalent to £10.90 per hour), with a salary increase to £22,625.20 (equivalent to £11.45 an hour) following the successful completion of the 3 month probation period.
Hours of work:
38 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 7.30am until 4pm (8 hours per day) and Friday, 7.30am until 1.30pm (6 hours).
Holidays:
21 days annual leave, plus 8 Bank Holidays, increasing by 1 day at 2 years' service, another day at 4 years' service, to a maximum of 24 days at 6 years' service.
