ARADA STOVES

Surrounding landscape of Axminster in Autumn

WE BELIEVE THAT ‘BRITISH MADE’ IS MORE THAN JUST A BADGE

It’s been over 40 years since we started warming homes and hearts...

But from day one, our stoves have had the authenticity you’d expect from a company rooted in rural Devon. The names "Villager", "Aarrow" and "Stratford" have all stood the test of time and are now united under the Arada brand.

So choose a stove that is perfectly designed for the British home and way of life.

Arada Manufacturing

WE BELIEVE OUR REPUTATION IS BUILT ON EVERY STOVE WE MAKE

EACH ARADA STOVE STARTS LIFE IN THE HANDS OF OUR CRAFTSMEN...

Raw steel is crafted with precision. Exacting joins are welded at 1500°C. Sparks fly as surfaces are perfected.

Your stove emerges, bearing all the hallmarks of being designed, engineered and built in Britain by people who take pride in a job well done.

OUR HERITAGE

A BRIEF HISTORY OF ARADA STOVES

We've been proudly producing wood and multi fuel stoves for a long time.

Our experienced team of engineers, designers and fabricators have been based at our Axminster site for almost two decades, but our company history actually goes back over half a century.

1966 - Modest beginnings

A small family business is started in Lyme Regis, Dorset called 'Lyme Regis Engineering'.

1979

After re-naming as 'Villager Stoves', the company begin to create stoves in Axminster, Devon.

1990's

Stratford boiler stoves are introduced, challenging efficiencies and safety in the boiler stove market place.

2017

Arada launches a variant of its most popular Ecoburn Plus stoves specifically for the Japanese market.

2018

Arada launches its first Ecodesign Ready stove, Farringdon

2019

Arada launches its first Farringdon stove for the North American and Canadian markets.

2020

In November, a management-buyout by Arada directors Mark Brettell and Jon Butterworth is executed giving them a majority share in the future of the business.

Present day

We design, manufacture and distribute wood, multi-fuel, gas and electric stoves / fires.

Our focus is on the production and supply of the most desirable, efficient and lowest emission heating appliances to complement any cosy home.

Our stoves are available for purchase through our wide network of UK retailers or via our distributors in Ireland, Europe, North America, Canada, Japan and more.
